Medi-Cal Therapy in Roseville, CA

If you have Medi-Cal and you’ve been trying to find a therapist in the Roseville area, you already know how frustrating the search can be. Providers listed in directories that never call you back. Waitlists measured in months. Clinics that technically accept Medi-Cal but have no availability.

At Advantage Mental Health & Marriage Counseling, we built our practice around serving Medi-Cal clients. We don’t treat Medi-Cal patients as an afterthought — they’re at the center of what we do. We have real availability, and we can typically schedule your first session within days.

What Medi-Cal Plans We Accept

We are credentialed with Partnership HealthPlan of California, which uses Carelon Behavioral Health (formerly Beacon Health Options) to manage behavioral health services in Placer County. We also accept Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal. If you have either of these plans, therapy with us is completely free — no copay, no deductible, no surprise bills.

Not sure which Medi-Cal plan you have? Check your insurance card or call the number on the back. If it says Partnership HealthPlan or Anthem Blue Cross, you’re covered with us.

What We Treat

Our therapists work with teens (ages 13+), adults, couples, and families dealing with a wide range of concerns. Common reasons our Medi-Cal clients come to us include anxiety and panic attacks, depression and persistent sadness, trauma and PTSD, relationship conflict and communication breakdowns, grief and loss, anger management, ADHD and focus challenges, family conflict, divorce and co-parenting stress, and life transitions like job loss, relocation, or major changes.

Our Approach to Therapy

We use evidence-based methods that are proven to help. Our primary approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns; Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which strengthens emotional bonds in relationships; motivational interviewing, which supports positive behavior change; and trauma-informed care that honors your experiences and builds safety.

Every treatment plan is individualized. We start by understanding your story, your goals, and what matters most to you. Then we work together to build practical skills and lasting change.
