Website Privacy Policy
Advantage Mental Health and Marriage Counseling Inc., a California professional corporation
Effective date: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit advantagementalhealth.org (the "site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers the website only. Health information you share with us as a client is protected by our Notice of Privacy Practices.
The site does not collect health information
The site has no forms that ask for your name, contact details, or health information. You reach us by phone, by email, or through our scheduling portal, which is run by SimplePractice (see below). Please do not send private health details by regular email. Call us at (916) 292-5775 instead, and we will find a secure way to talk.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the site and the services it uses can collect some information automatically when you visit, such as:
- Your IP address and general location (city or region)
- Your browser, device type, and operating system
- The pages you view, the links you click, how long you stay, and the page that sent you to us
We use this information to understand how people use the site and to improve it. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not sell it.
Cookies and the services the site uses
- Google Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics, added through Google's Site Kit plugin for WordPress, to measure visits and how pages are used. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology. Google's handling of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt out browser add on.
- Google Fonts. Some of the fonts on the site load from Google's servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
- WordPress and Elementor. The site is built with WordPress and the Elementor page builder. This software may set small technical cookies or use your browser's local storage so the site works properly.
- Web hosting. The site is hosted by Namecheap, whose servers may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.
SimplePractice scheduling and contact portal
When you click to book a consult or contact us, you leave our site and go to a portal at advantage-mental-health.clientsecure.me, run by SimplePractice, a third party that provides our practice management software. Information you enter there is collected by SimplePractice for our practice. As your provider, we protect it under our Notice of Privacy Practices, and SimplePractice's own practices are described in the SimplePractice Privacy Policy.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as Instagram, health plans, and California and federal agencies. We do not control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA)
California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (California Civil Code section 56 and following) protects medical information held by health care providers. The site itself does not collect medical information. Any medical information you give us as a client, in sessions, by phone, or through the SimplePractice portal, is handled under the CMIA, HIPAA, and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. The site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, and it does not change how it collects information when it receives one. Other companies, such as Google through Google Analytics, may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use the site. You can limit this with the opt out tools and cookie settings described above.
Children
The site is meant for adults, including parents looking for care for their children. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the site. No website or internet connection is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.
Reviewing or changing your information
The site does not keep a personal profile about you. If you have given us personal information and want to review it, correct it, or ask a question about this policy, contact us:
- Phone: (916) 292-5775

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we collect or use information, we will also post a notice on the site's home page for a reasonable time before the change takes effect.
